Important Notice:
Due to the current budget cuts the UCI Libraries will not renew its subscription to RefWorks. The subscription will end December 31, 2009. We apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation creates.
As of October 30, 2009, no new accounts will be created on the RefWorks platform.
Please see the box below on options available to you; please note that your RefWorks library must be exported by December 31, 2009 for you to retain your citations. On January 1st, 2010, this RefWorks page will be removed, please update any links you might have.
Options:
1. Move to a personal RefWorks account: A 12-month subscription to RefWorks is available for $100 / year. The purchase form is available here. This allows current RefWorks users to continue a software they are comfortable with and requires no exporting of citations.
2. Purchase a personal copy of Endnote: Pricing varies, please see UCI Bookstore for details.
3. Endnote Web: Broadly speaking, EndNote Web is targeted at Undergraduates whilst desktop EndNote has extra features and complexity suited to postgraduates, Researchers and Staff. Nevertheless, anyone can get to grips with and use either (or both); references can easily be transferred between the two. Take a look at this comparison chart to determine which product is right for you.
4. Move to another Bibliographic Management Software of your choice: Zotero, Connotea, Reference Manager, etc. Other Bibliographic Management Softwares will not be supported by the UC Irvine Libraries.
