Sources for finding citation counts and subsequent cited papers

  • Web of Science  
      
    Use "Cited Author Search" to locate by principal author, journal title, and publication year. The alternative is to use "General Search" by author name, topic, or year.
  • Google Scholar  
      
    Search results include "Cited By" and "Web Search" references.
    Included are "Related Articles" based on the Google search algorithm and "Web Search" for locating documents that include the search term or citation.
  • Faculty of 1000 Biology Reports Ltd UCI access only  
      
    Reviews the most interesting papers published in the biological sciences based on the recommendations of a faculty of well over 1000 selected leading researchers.
  • eScholarship  
      
    The repository is a service of the eScholarship initiative of the California Digital Library.
  • Windows Academic Live  
      
    Search for scholarly journal articles, conference proceedings, dissertations and academic books.
  • Scirius  
      
    Allows for sorting by "journal results", "preferred web results", and "other web results."
